Writer and poet Itxaro Borda talks about her intimate relationship with museums in a quirky inaugural lecture.

Itxaro Borda (Bayonne, 1959) has been writing every day since childhood. She writes in verse and prose. She writes columns for the press, poems, novels and even a few essays. She helped create the magazine Maiatz with Luzien Etxezaharreta in 1981, published her first collection of poems, Bizitza nola badoan, in 1984, and won the 2002 Euskadi Literature Prize for her novel 100 % Basque. Her writings reflect a Basque woman's view of the society in which she was born.
