Draping and pleating / Drawing workshop

A workshop dedicated to drapery and the interplay of folds, exploring textures, volumes, and movement—a motif central to the museum’s collection, where fabric serves as a memory of the body. Black chalk, red chalk, graphite, charcoal, oil pastels, and colored pigments are used to highlight contrasts and texture.

Cengiz Özer, a visual artist and teacher, has been sharing his expertise for over 25 years. He has taught in Paris at iconic venues such as the Louvre (Ateliers du Carrousel), the Musée Carnavalet and the Petit Palais. Now based in the region, he also teaches at the MACS’s new cultural hub, the PARCC, a centre for contemporary art in Labenne.
